Scientific name: Boswellia Carteri. Description: Incense is the aromatic resin from the trunk of the tree with the above scientific name, of the Burseraceae family. Origins: Native in Somalia, East Africa, India and the Arabian Peninsula. History: Incense was a popular commodity used as aromatic substance from the 2nd millennium BCE and was considered as invaluable as a treasure!
INCENSE – \”BIOLOGOS\” ESSENTIAL OIL
Technique: Extracted from the resin of the tree through steam distillation. Composition: Contains natural alcohols, monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes and esters. Scent: Warm, sweet, oily, reminds of lemon. Country: India.
